Washingtonia Palms

The Washingtonia Palm is one of the most recognizable and widely planted palm trees in the world. Known for its tall trunk, large fan-shaped leaves, and impressive silhouette, this palm has become a symbol of warm climates, coastal cities, and elegant landscapes. Native to North America, Washingtonia palms are especially popular in urban streets, resorts, and gardens due to their fast growth and striking appearance.

There are two main species of Washingtonia palms: Washingtonia robusta, commonly known as the Mexican fan palm, and Washingtonia filifera, known as the California fan palm. While both share similar characteristics, Washingtonia robusta is taller and more slender, often reaching heights of 80–100 feet, whereas Washingtonia filifera has a thicker trunk and grows slightly shorter, usually up to 60 feet.
